Obligatory Valentines Day Post

Happy Valentines Day every body!

Intellectually and physically Sequoia reaches out attempting to grasp a fundamental truth.

Abandoning unanswerable existential inquiries Sequoia's thoughts stop to spend a night at the Roxbury.

Too true, little one. Too true.

Sequoia and the two tortoises

Startling sedated sulcattas, a surprised Sequoia self soothes by spreading saliva and suckling skin.

Suddenly serene, Sequoia stretches securely savoring the non-sequitor scenery.

Sequoia suavely scans her supportive source seeking salvation from the seriously strange situation.

Sequoia's Very Girly Photos

Stephanie (Sequoia's mother) yanked me aside and insisted that photos featured upon this blog fail to capture Sequoia's sweetness or femininity. With that in mind I present Sequoia's Uber Schmoozy Girly Photos.

Classically posed with pink dolly (Ms. Pinky Sassifrass) the lilac clad Sequoia rest adorably upon the floral print background in this image that just oozes with girly charm.

Sequoia gently leans over and coyly confides to her plush companion "Honey, I'm gonna whoop yer heiny."

Deftly swinging her delicate, effeminate fist Sequoia knocks Pinky across the noggin.

Releasing the full force of her female fury Sequoia cutely hurls Ms. Sassifrass in a full force bodyslam.

Sequoia and the Fake Flower Fest

Continuing her uber girly frilly photo fest Sequoia confidently nestles herself in a sea of "flowers" and practices her parade wave quietly chanting "elbow, elbow, wrist, wrist"

Sequoias eyes blast open in shock and dismay as she inadvertently glimpses how expensive fake flowers can be.

Stephanie squeezes in one last easy smile before the gangly pimple faced craft store clerk awkwardly asks us to either purchase something or leave.

Sequoia and the shoe conspiracy

Sequoia is disquieted by the untimely realization that she will not fit in her father's shoes.

Undaunted by a small gang of paternal footwear, Sequoia explores her father's sock option with similarly unsatisfactory results.

Stubbornly attempting to force fatherly sock complience, Sequoia learns at an early age that more is not the same as better.

A nearby boot quietly confides to Sequoia, "Don't worry, you'll find your own shoes someday."

Sequoia's new and improved mobile

Sequoia's father found pink plush butterflies to be creepy and disconcerning so he embelished Sequoia's mobile with the friendly, comforting images from Pearls Before Swine. To see the comic strip from which the images originate visit: http://www.unitedmedia.com/comics/pearls/

Bee Baby and the Angry Cacti

Nestled at the foot of Ripley's Church of One Tree, Sequoias mother whispers the legend of the magic bee baby. Only in the frostyest of Januarys does the flying insect/infant emerge to protect the town of Sant Rosa from a malevolent plant menace.

Magically levitating, the sacred Bee Baby explores the worlds longest brach. From this wistful vista, the problem becomes clear: Vengeful cacti are poking tourists and destroying the city's weekend income.

Sequoia swoops in to a patch of mystic cacti. Bee Baby flashes hand signals to the sage succulent and *poof* the plants vicious spines are repealed.

Following her arduous ordeal, Bee Baby relaxes knowing the world is safe once again.

The grateful citizens gather round and shout "Hooray for Bee Baby!"
