Sequoia and the shoe conspiracy

Sequoia is disquieted by the untimely realization that she will not fit in her father's shoes.

Undaunted by a small gang of paternal footwear, Sequoia explores her father's sock option with similarly unsatisfactory results.

Stubbornly attempting to force fatherly sock complience, Sequoia learns at an early age that more is not the same as better.

A nearby boot quietly confides to Sequoia, "Don't worry, you'll find your own shoes someday."

Sequoia's new and improved mobile

Sequoia's father found pink plush butterflies to be creepy and disconcerning so he embelished Sequoia's mobile with the friendly, comforting images from Pearls Before Swine. To see the comic strip from which the images originate visit: http://www.unitedmedia.com/comics/pearls/

Bee Baby and the Angry Cacti

Nestled at the foot of Ripley's Church of One Tree, Sequoias mother whispers the legend of the magic bee baby. Only in the frostyest of Januarys does the flying insect/infant emerge to protect the town of Sant Rosa from a malevolent plant menace.

Magically levitating, the sacred Bee Baby explores the worlds longest brach. From this wistful vista, the problem becomes clear: Vengeful cacti are poking tourists and destroying the city's weekend income.

Sequoia swoops in to a patch of mystic cacti. Bee Baby flashes hand signals to the sage succulent and *poof* the plants vicious spines are repealed.

Following her arduous ordeal, Bee Baby relaxes knowing the world is safe once again.

The grateful citizens gather round and shout "Hooray for Bee Baby!"

Bits o' Sequoia

Sequoia's face shines in victory having achieved one of the greatest upsets of all time and brought down her father in Thumb War I.

Sequoia's ear sums up her illustrious heritage: The generous italian lower lobe, the hearty mexican fold, and the pinch of elvish magic point.

Cuty wuty as a buttony wuttony, Sequoia woia displays her umbilical hernia wernia.

Sequoia Learns to Sit

Sequoia, secure in her newfound ability to stay sitting up, consults the wise old witching spoon for how best to use this skill. The spoon harkens Sequoia close and wispers a single word into her ear with a dry teak drawl, "Endorsementsssssss."

When Sequoia has a hankering for canned seafood, Sequoia turns to Searchlight Pink Salmon for that smoooooth, savory delight.

If you wish to sponsor one of Sequoia's photos send your image requests written on a ten dollar bill (or check) to: $equoia $anchini. Viewed by at least a dozen people, Sequoia will lend that infant umph to any advertising endeavor.

Still thrilled by her self sustained semi-upright status, Sequoia invites all her close friends around for a couch party.

Boorish as ever the Brontosaraus meanders by pretending he's not trying to crash the party. Sticking her tongue out in disbelief Sequoia thinks "At least the mittens aren't here to see this."

Sequoia vs the Farm

Sequoia and the guinea fowl finally understand one another.

"Two legs good, four legs bad" snickers a smarmy Sequoia

"I've got your two legs RIGHT HERE" replies a spunky goat.

Sequoia braves the Backyard

Sequoia, with fake fur thinking cap securely fashioned while resting on a leaf print pillow in the pseudo-wilds of the backyard, ponders the nature of reality and the reality of nature.

Sequoia, thinking cap abandoned, gazes with wonder at the delicate viens of a nearby leaf while enveloped in her mother's shadow.

Confused and intimidated by the big wide world around her, Sequoia dons her faithful mittens and nibbles one for comfort.

At peace with her ambiguous lifestyle between wild and tame, real and manufatured, Sequoia contentedly waves farewell.
